Shit's gotten complicated overnight. I feel like one of those dramatic preteens that post their oh-so cryptic statuses on Facebook.

I think I know why I don't make many actual girly-girl friends now. So much freaking drama! (not in a good way)

A new chapter

O-week was kinda overrated... But maybe that's just me. Or my uni. Other than that, uni's going well.
So I had my second psychology lecture today (it was also my first proper learning-content-filled psych lecture). Various perspectives on psychology were covered by the new lecturer who started off speaking as though he had delivered a previous lecture to us... Weird. All I can say is: I can't believe that a few years ago I actually wanted to do a psychology degree!

Uni in Sydney has probably been the best thing to happen to my exercise regime (which was pretty much non-existant since September last year); walking to and from the train station every day (25-30mins total), running every now and then so I don't miss the train, walking around campus... plus the 10000000kg in textbooks + bag I've carried home for the past 2 days will probably result in some hectic muscle development!

my recent purchases

Believe it - that lot weighs a lot more than it looks! There's still one more mother of a chem textbook to come!
And to think, with all the money I spent on the above, I could've purchased:
  1. Jeffrey Campbell wedge leather booties
  2. a lovely pair of Wittner shoes
  3. a new messenger or Cambridge bag (or both!)
  4. PLUS a gone op-shopping.
DAMN IT, UNI.

The Six ♥

"And I don't know how it gets better than this;
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless.
And I don't know why but
With you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless."

Holy shit, I have the best friends ever.
Just spent a brilliant night and day with them swimming, boating, kiddy kayaking, car partying and spotlighting.
If my life was like a movie, then yesterday, last night and this morning would be a whole lot of long shots, pans and bright colour, with a feel-good soundtrack (plus a few yummy heart warming ones). Taylor Swift's "Fearless" would definitely be one of the title tracks. They have dragged me into many a things and although I was more fearful, I couldn't be more grateful. Dancing in a storm in my best dress is nothing. Jetty jumping, on the other hand, is something. That's why I still haven't done it. Hah.

Feeling the rush of the wind on the back of a ute, the chilliness of the river in the morning, eating blackberries (not knowing whether they were sprayed or not) and the magical moment sitting together talking under the clear night sky, littered with shooting stars.
If it weren't one of the last times I would be with them all like that for a while, then I would say: that is the life.

2011

New year, new layout. More simple this time.

So, the HSC went well. I got my first preference in Main Round offers; which means I'm off to Sydney next week to enrol and suss out housing and I'm moving there in like 3 weeks. Waaah.. I don't want to leave my family and Armidale!

Post-HSC: Formal, after-party, Sydney, Scotts Head

Nevertheless, happy Australia Day! Unlike last year, Australia Day 2011 was actually a blast!
